The mighty Baobab tree is known as ‘the tree of life’ & rightly so given the number of uses it has. Traditionally, this fruit is still used to treat a number of illnesses (including asthma, fever, asthma, fever, diarrhea, malaria, smallpox & to curb inflammation). Additionally, it is sometimes used as an ingredient in skincare, hair-care and body-care products. Baobab oil is extracted from the seeds of Baobab tree & used in certain personal-care products.

A single tree can live up to 2500 years & can take anywhere between 15 to 20 years to fruit! An old Baobab tree can create its own ecosystem, as it supports the life of countless creatures, from large mammals to thousands of tiny creatures moving in & out of its crevices.
